French convention

What a great event. Thank you everyone who attended - whether you were crew or guest. We've received a large number of emails from everyone thanking us for the event. Unusually even the Drum Cafe contacted with us to say they enjoyed it as well. Normally we do not hear things like this. Also the event production team loved the day.
Obviously it was the great crowd that showed a lot of energy and excitement which provoked the reaction. It just goes to show what a great bunch of people we all are. Thanks.

On line activity

The EU published a report yesterday about creating on-line digital consumer rights without borders. An interesting concept. What caught my attention were two graphics.

The first is showing countries where they do NOT do on-line financial transactions:

The second is where people receive spam emails:

I noticed Hungary does few on-line transactions, but receives lots of spam. Anyone interested in the full report check out this link.

Not all doom and gloom - part 2

This article caught my attention the other day - here it is. If you think beyond the type of activity you can see that things are still happening (like the construction work at weekends) and people are prepared to work.
Why not work legally though?

It's not all doom and gloom

Here are a couple of examples of how some companies are reacting to the "downturn".

OK, so it might not be our favourite eatery, but you have to admire them for looking to the future. Forgetting the health issues McDonald's have been hit with and the bad press over the years, they have weathered the criticism and seem to be looking forward to good times. Not many can say that.

Also see the news about Asda and BSkyB.

What do these have in common? They all recognise to provide good service they have to be closer and more available to the customer. They recognise a need (to eat) and price/location is the key.

Who can be closer to their customers than a Nikken Distributor? What price would you pay to maintain wellbeing?

Now is the time the millionaires of the future are made.
