It's not all doom and gloom

Here are a couple of examples of how some companies are reacting to the "downturn".

OK, so it might not be our favourite eatery, but you have to admire them for looking to the future. Forgetting the health issues McDonald's have been hit with and the bad press over the years, they have weathered the criticism and seem to be looking forward to good times. Not many can say that.

Also see the news about Asda and BSkyB.

What do these have in common? They all recognise to provide good service they have to be closer and more available to the customer. They recognise a need (to eat) and price/location is the key.

Who can be closer to their customers than a Nikken Distributor? What price would you pay to maintain wellbeing?

Now is the time the millionaires of the future are made.

New Year - Tenerife

The first trip of 2009 is to Tenerife. So far it has been sunny, great people and good food. Oh sometimes life can be hard :) Pictures to follow when I have a better internet connection.

Good news out of the bad

Many years ago I had my first Subway sandwich in Arizona. It was great to see this concept. I always thought it would be a good business. A friend of mine even met the owner. After reading this I like them even more. This type of attitude will help rebuild confidence during these interesting times.

Breast is best

Today it's Wear it Pink day. All you need to do is wear pink and make a donation to Breast Cancer Campaign. The Distributor Services group wore a lot of pink things! The top three pink wearers were Bianca with 57 things, Monica with 41 and Sandra with 25.

Oh! And a special mention to Olivier for the pink princess sash.
